Work Performed in August of 2023: Removed minor rust and fixed a small leak and installed a new pump inside of the tank. In September of 2023, the Board replaced most of the electrical due to an electrical storm which blew the circuit board. In August of 2024, The outside of the tank was cleaned of all visible rust and then painted the tank in the the AyA Blue. The plan is to install a surge protector and to bury an exposed electric wire in September.
In August of 2023, the Board verified that the inside of the tank was in good condition and didn't need immediate cleaning or work to be performed, however during that same month, the tank was hit by 2 electrical storms (in less than 1 week) so the electrical was replaced at that time. In August of 2024, the trees that are encroaching on the tank will be cleared away, and the outside of the tank will be repaired, cleaned and painted. In September of 2024, there is a plan to install a surge protector on the spare pump. The 2 other pumps (1 feeds tank 3 and 1 feeds tank 4) already have functioning surge protectors.
This is the smallest tank in Lomas del Mar but services the greatest number of homes. In August of 2023, 2 lightning strikes destroyed the electrical, pump and float. These were all replaced and fixed. In September of 2024, the Board will be installing a new surge protector and will do a thorough assessment of the work that needs to be done.
Tank 4 is fed from Tank 2 and has no electrical since the water is gravity fed to Costa Linda. Currently it only feeds 2 houses in Costa Linda
This is the biggest tank, however due to the state of the tank, it cannot be filled to capacity. There is no pump or electrical since all homes are gravity fed.
