In August of 2023, Tank 1 was repaired and cleaned on the inside. The past couple of weeks, the team (Roberto, Richard & Miguel) have been hard at work cleaning the outside, removing any rust and fixing any damage followed by a complete cleaning, priming and painting of the tank. Huge thank you to the guys for all of their hard work! This work was 1 of the requirements for Water Letters as well as Infrastructure Work. By doing the work in-house, we were able to save a tremendous amount of money. Last year, we were quoted almost $12,000 for this work. We completed it for a cost of less than $2,400. A huge thank you also goes out to Jacquie (our new Vice-President and co-chair of the Infrastructure Working Group) and the members of the Infrastructure Working Group (Chuck Neudorf, Bill Diehl, Ben Craig-Cameron, Paulino and Roberto).

Vista / ViewThe Lomas del Mar ASADA is always busy trying to maintain and improve the infrastructure. Over the years, the pipes have weakened due to miniature earthquakes and earth movements, rains, construction, among other factors and now need to be repaired and/or replaced. There are other projects that are either underway or planned for the future. The Board of Directors has established a priority listing of these items. Details are only available to Registered Associates

As part of the ASADA Board's initiative to ensure that we are providing clean, safe water to all our Affiliates, we had Laboratorio San Martin take water samples from all the tanks and the well on September 3rd. This will now be done on a regular basis to ensure that it remains that way. Today, Serviteca installed a brand new chlorinator at the well which will help ensure that the water is always good. Another thing that we've planned is a cleaning of the inside of the tanks. Tank 3 is a priority and will be next to be done. We will notify the community prior to doing this work so that they can prepare to be without water for approximately 8 hours. We are currently looking into the frequency of this work so that we can ensure that it is done regularly for everyone's peace of mind.
